Harvest Notes
The nose is rich with aromas of ripe blackcurrant, cassis, and dark cherry, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla, graphite, and a touch of tobacco. The presence of oak adds depth with layers of toasted spice and a faint smokiness that elevates the wine’s complexity.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with velvety tannins that provide structure and elegance. Flavors of ripe blackberry and plum are balanced by earthy notes of cedar and dried herbs, with a touch of cocoa and espresso adding a delightful finish. The acidity is vibrant yet integrated, ensuring that the wine remains fresh and refined throughout.

Aromas of elderberry jam on a slice of buttery brioche meet with violet and soy elements on the nose of this densely presented Cab. The palate pairs savory charred meat flavors with a rich core of cassis, making for a comforting and warm experience. — MK

Based on 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Syrah, aged 18 months in 100% new French oak 225-liter barrels, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Lopai Vineyard displays a deep ruby/purple hue followed by classic Cabernet notes of cassis, spicy wood, cedar pencil, and smoked tobacco. Richly textured and medium to full-bodied, it has ripe, polished tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. This impeccably made wine has tons to love and is better than the vast majority of Napa Cabernet Sauvignons in 2022. Drink 2025-2037.
